Hi everyone, I am looking for some help setting up a Canon USB Printer on my Slackware 7.1 system. I patched and compiled in support for USB to my 2.2.16 kernel and it seems to be working correctly as the printer is detected on startup and the /proc/bus/usb filesystem is mounted and ready. Am I missing something obvious? A usb daemon? Running lpc status gives me this: lp: queuing is enabled printing is enabled no entries no daemon present Sorry if that is too much info, any help would be appreciated. Do I need to symlink /dev/lp to point to a different device?
