Figure out what driver your network card users. (RedHat keeps a good list of NICs and what driver they use here: http://www.redhat.com/support/hardware/intel/62/rh6.2-hcl-i.ld-11.html ) Note the module needed for your NIC. Log in as root and type lsmod. If that module shows up, your ok. If not, an insmod modulename should do it. (adding that module to /etc/modules so it's loaded at boot wouldn't be a bad idea either) Now you need to get dhcpcd. Check your CDs. Their might be other ways of getting a dynamic IP, dhcpcd has been the most reliable for me. -- \\\|/// \\ - - // ( @ @ ) ----oOOo--(_)-oOOo-------------------------------------------- Andy Zbikowski, Sys Admin | (WEB) http://www.ltiflex.com LTI Flexible Products, Inc. | (PH) 763-428-9119 (EX) 132 21801 Industrial Blvd | (FX) 763-428-9126 Rogers, MN 55374 | (PCS) 612-306-6055 ---------------Ooooo------------------------------------------ ( ) ooooO ) / ( ) (_/ \ ( \_) -------------- next part -------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: tclug-list-unsubscribe at mn-linux.org For additional commands, e-mail: tclug-list-help at mn-linux.org
