Hey everyone,

I'm trying to install APC's PowerChutePlus UPS control software on my Web
server. The server is running Debian, and I can't get it working because the
PowerChutePlus software is linked to libstdc++ v2.8 and I've got libstdc++
v2.10. It's a binary-only version of their software of course. :-(

They do have an open source version available called the "Simple Signalling
Daemon." Unfortunately, it requires a different cable than the full-blown
PowerChutePlus software.

I need APC Part #940-0020B. Does anyone know if you can build one of these
yourself? I know they're not standard serial cables, but I don't know if
it's merely non-standard because of weird pin arrangements or some other
goofiness.

Anyone have one of these that they would be willing to inspect and tell me
the proper configuration? I could make one myself if it's simply a
rearranged standard serial cable.
