That is what made me ask the question. The IBM JVM (1.3.0) was very fast, but it didn't seem to scale - and it died without any error messages. The Blackdown JVM (1.2.2) was much slower (relatively), but it scaled well. I am curious about the scalability of the IBM JVM. It seems to me that IBM wouldn't release a non-scalable Linux or Java product of any kind - so I was curious about secondary real world opinions.
