Has anyone attempted to turn a linux box into a VCR (similiar to tivo)? It looks like at least one TV card / frame grabber can output MPEG (zoran or somesuch). I've got a semi-unused 266Mb Pentium II taking up space, and it would be kind of fun to turn it into something like a tivo. The TV listings from Yahoo look parseable, hard drives are pretty cheap these days - I've probably got enough sub 10Gb drives lying around to get me near 40Gb. Can you tell I'm getting bored doing admin and writing business software??? Longing to be a couch potato, Kent
