Hey all, I've posted this before. I am having trouble getting my sound to work on FreeBSD 3.4 with KDE. I have got the right stuff compiled in my kernel (I think). Before, I couldn't put a CD into the CDROM and press the play button on the front and have it work. Now, after I've added some lines to my kernel config, it does. However, when I try to run any sound application, I get device not configured, or permission denied (do a chmod a+rw /dev/<dev name here> I know this isn't the problem, because when I look at the perms for that device, they're crw-rw-rw (or 666). Help, please. -- Eric F Crist System Administrator Ardent-Hacker.net --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: tclug-list-unsubscribe at mn-linux.org For additional commands, e-mail: tclug-list-help at mn-linux.org
