OTher than that, I'm pretty happy with my cheap, > fast, plextor. What kernel version? I've hand no end of trouble with IDE-SCSI in 2.2.16. It fails randomly and the drive goes of into lala land spewing tons of SCSI errors. Only a reboot (Or yanking the power on the drive. Heh) will stop it. 2.2.15 has no problem. Apparently 2.2.17 is out.
