You have to redirect stderr to stdout, and then pipe. I'm not 100% on the syntax, since it's three arcane symbols in a row with no good mnemonic, but I seem to recall that it's one of: 2&>1 | less 2>&1 | less I'll be online for a bit; let me know if it works!
