Ezmlm! I'm using an ezmlm/qmail setup to blast out a few million messages
per day. Very fast, and with some simple mods, you can make your ezmlm box
send the messages by load balancing between multiple qmail boxes. With 2
qmail boxes, I can do about 300,000 messages every 15 mins. My code allows
up to 255 qmail boxes, so I could theoretically get much higher.

One problem with using qmail under linux instead of FreeBSD is that you need
to do a bunch of kernel mods to get your concurrency level above 520
connections. With FreeBSD, you change like 2 settings and you can put it
all the way up to 65535 if you wanted (I don't suggest doing that though).

Ezmlm/qmail with no mods is still blazingly fast.
