The BSD people like thier license because it lets people do whatever they want, now if you introduce GPL code into a BSDL piece of code the entire thing then mu become GPL if you wish to leave the GPL stuff in it. And this is what RMS thinks freedom is. Yes, I think the GPL bites WRT to this sort of thing.
