Yeah.  The Win9x/Me series of Windows can't handle more than 512MB.  It
can't use more than that reliably, but it will go ahead and try to use the
memory unless you tell it not to.  Other operating systems, such as Linux
and NT, can handle it just fine (unless there are hardware limitations as
well).
