Yeah.  We're using JDK 1.3 for a class.  We were taught to use regular
expressions to make sure that inputs on CGI forms were valid (in Perl and
JavaScript).  I found some functions in the manuals for 1.4, but they
don't exist in 1.3.  Oh well.

Kind of funny that JavaScript has had regular expressions for so long,
though.  A regular expression is even a type in JavaScript, if I remember
right.
