The browser thread reminded me that I've been having issues getting Render support working in XFree86 4.x. Has anyone had success with it when running Xinerama? When I've tried to do it, it has usually locked up the X server. A somewhat related issue is that I've had trouble with TrueType fonts drawing improperly, since I've had to play some strange tricks to get certain programs to understand that my displays have (nearly) square pixels. When I use TrueType fonts, they look to be about half as wide as they should be. On the other hand, if I remove the measures I've put in (adding DisplaySize parameters to the Monitor sections in XF86Config), many other applications act strangely. gv renders postscript twice as wide as it should, and I've Xine (DVD player) and other apps do similar things. Any thoughts, solutions, pointers, etc., appreciated.. -- _ _ _ _ _ ___ _ _ _ ___ _ _ __ Why do scientists call it / \/ \(_)| ' // ._\ / - \(_)/ ./| ' /(__ research when looking \_||_/|_||_|_\\___/ \_-_/|_|\__\|_|_\ __) for something new?
