Jon, Don't know that Linux has been pushed down into FPGA's (yet), not enough horsepower in them I think. I think is interesting is NEC: http://www.linuxdevices.com/products/PD6574796610.html http://www.necel.com/microprocessors/powerEfficient.cfm 1545 MIPS/watt, however its definitely not an FPGA :) There may be other uC whose instruction set is only partially supported at this point.
