Hi, I posted a message somewhat similar to this one a couple weeks ago, and someone followed up to my mail about a week ago with what I believe was a suggestion on how to identify and fix this problem. I can't remember who it was. I've been out of town for over a week now and not able to check any further follow-ups, so I'm trying this again... I've finally managed to install Yellow Dog Linux 2.2 on a Power PC 6500. Other than a couple of crashes and restarts during the installation process, it seemed to go okay, except for the fact that I have no working mouse when I'm in Linux. YDL 2.2 does not seem to recognize the standard Apple mouse (it's an older computer, perhaps 6-7 years old. What type of mouse is this? PS/2? ). I have not gotten any solid answers for this problem. Can anyone help me out by suggesting a way that I can get YDL to recognize my mouse? Do I have to do something in the config files? If so, I'll need to know exactly what to do in there, and how to find it, because I"m a total newbie to this stuff. Thanks in advance, Jackie -- "Linux: the choice of a GNU generation"
