On the upside, the SB Live does hardware PCM mixing, so you can open up 
/dev/dsp multiple times.  I've not noticed the resampling to do very 
much damage.

I think a es1370 card is a btter choice.

If you want really good quality, go for one of those external usb 
thingies, they supposedly do a really good job.
