Maybe I am short sighted, but if I were to spend 2000 USD on a new box I'd rather get kick ass components. And I can factor in the kost of the CrossOver plug-in for running MSFT Office. I guess it is a trade-off. On one hand you get an GUI that hangs less than KDE 3, on the other, you aren't forced to upgrade your hardware as often if you want the latest and the greatest. Samir M.
