> You should look at BitKeeper. It was developed specifically for Linus > Torvalds to use while developing the Linux kernel. No, its been around. It just happened to be the best tool for the job in Linus' opinion. BitMover convinced Linus to use it, they give him a free license and some 'credit' to have additional features he wants developed by BitMover for free, and in return BitMover's marketing gets to say "Hey, if its good enough for Linus and the Linux kernel, its good enough for you!" Thus starting a huge flamewar between followers of the "Best tool for the job, even if its commercial" philosophy, and the "Open Source no matter what" zealots. (There's also the little matter of according to BitKeeper's license, you can't ever contribute to another source control tool once you've used BK...) If anything its kicked some asses into gear to make a better open source replacement for CVS. _______________________________________________ TCLUG Mailing List - Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota Help beta test TCLUG's potential new home: http://plone.mn-linux.org Got pictures for TCLUG?
