Depending how complicated you need to get, you could create a script to copy
a text file with the package list.

dpkg -l > installed.lst */will list all installed packages. It will even
show what packages are broken.

rsync or scp can transfer the file to a central computer.

Subject: [TCLUG] Centralized package inventory/listing under Debian?

Any tools out there to create and maintain a central repository/list of
packages installed on debian systems?

As we convert older Redhat boxes to Debian, I'm finding a need to know what
packages are installed on what systems. Logging into each box is a pita.

Having a central repository/list would be great.

Something that you could build report with would be even better :-)
