Anyone have success installing Fedora Core 2 on an HP DL140 (1U server)? HP DL140's use Broadcom Gigabit Nic's which should use the "tg3" module. FC2 does not recoginze them even with "tg3" loaded. Installed RH9 to see what it thinks of the Nics; it finds them using "tg3" and ID's them as "Tigon3 part# BCM95704A6 rev 2002"; nics work. Upgraded RH9 to FC2 and nics no longer work; kudzu even prompts you "the following device has been removed from your system". Googling shows others have had this problem with no resolution. googled for: '"hp dl140" fedora tg3' (and got only 4 results) References: http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-list/2004-June/msg01666.html http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-list/2004-August/msg03444.html http://lists.debian.org/debian-user/2004/06/thrd8.html http://linux.derkeiler.com/Mailing-Lists/Debian/2004-06/ FC2 installs a 2.6.x kernel by default. Any suggestions? -- scot _______________________________________________ TCLUG Mailing List - Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota Help beta test TCLUG's potential new home: http://plone.mn-linux.org Got pictures for TCLUG?
