Congratulations on your decision to learn Linux server administration skills.

The best approach that I can recommend is to start using Linux as much
as possible. What I mean by that is install it and use it as your
primary desktop. Setup a Samba file server, Apache web server, etc.
and implement your own home network.

You can read all the books in the world (I'm still working on this :)
), but you really need to use it if you want to learn it.
