Look at System Imager [
http://wiki.systemimager.org/index.php/Main_Page ]. Snap an image from
a "gold" master, or any time before making a Big Change (tm). Put that
image on another box setup to do PXE and TFTP and you're set. You can
restore a box from bare metal to exactly how it was when you snapped
the image within 20 minutes, depending on the network, disk speed,
image size, and the like.
