Hi all, On the subject of unneeded hardware of which I'd like to be rid, I have an old (/old/) IBM NetVista X series all-in-one PC free to a good home. Might make a good kids' computer or thin client or something. http://lenovoblogs.com/designmatters/files/2009/11/12_x41side.jpg It has a 1.8GHz P4 and I think 512 RAM, though it could be 256, DVD-ROM. 17" LCD at 1280x1024. If memory serves, it has a 40gig disk installed. No keyboard or mouse, just the all-in-one unit. I picked it up from a scrap load and had been using it for a couple of years as a DVD player & Hulu watching station in an exercise room. It had no problems running Fedora & Ubuntu, though Flash performance in Hulu was kind of bad. Free if anyone wants it... -- +++++++++++++++++ Michael Berkowski Minitex / MnLINK Linux Systems Administrator and Programmer University of Minnesota 612.625.8736 mjb at umn.edu PGP Public key: http://www.tc.umn.edu/~berk0081/pgp/pubkey.asc +++++++++++++++++ -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
