However please make some attempt to keep old versions running. One app on the iOS platform said "stability fixes for iOS 3.x; Upgrade your device already!" but the devices they were supporting couldn't RUN 4.x or higher. Sad. I deleted the program. That said, every owner of a device (I own 6 things with an Apple on them) should be allowed to hack their devices and run whatever firmware they want to.
