When the AMD Athlons first came out, and it was not yet widely known
that they would not work correctly with the cheap "generic" memory, I
had purchased a 512 MB stick, which only identified itself as 128 MB.
PC ran fine, no errors. It was missing 3/4 of the memory though.
After replacing it with some name brand memory, everything was good....<br>
